Texas, a Battleground for the Latino Vote

After making historic gains among Latino voters in 2024, Texas Republicans face a new battle for those votes ahead of November. Although they pushed through a new gerrymandered district map to gain up to five additional seats, they are seeking to strengthen their majority in Congress and regain ground. One of the contested districts is the 23rd, where two Latino candidates are facing off. Mariana Pineda spoke with a resident of that district and with experts, and brings us her report from Houston.
