Acento Sabroso

This program brings rhythms with African roots from Latin America and the Spanish-speaking Caribbean. Cuban orchestras play rumbas, sones and mambos. Puerto Rican bands from New York bring us salsa and Latin jazz and straight from Puerto Rico comes the plena and the bomba. Colombian musicians contribute cumbias and vallenatos and Dominican groups offer upbeat merengues and romantic bachatas. Presented in Spanish.
