As a result of violent ICE raids that intensified in early June, California’s economy has lost billions of dollars. Small business owners, many of them immigrants, are among those hardest hit. However, with the help of activists, they are fighting to survive. Alejandro Maciel reports from downtown Los Angeles, where streets that are usually flooded with customers now look semi-deserted.
