In the agricultural heartland of Oxnard, on the California coast, an Indigenous-language radio station has become more than just a broadcaster. During the massive immigration raid last July, it became a source of vital information for thousands of workers and their families who communicate in native languages from southern Mexico. Fear and uncertainty were widespread. Jackie Botts spoke with station staff and shares their story from Oxnard, near Los Angeles.
