Megadata Centers in Memphis Put the Country’s Cleanest Water at Risk

Memphis is an ideal location for megadata centers, like Elon Musk’s, and new companies are taking note. These structures require large amounts of water to cool their servers, which is plentiful in Memphis. Environmentalists and Latino families fear that excessive water consumption will jeopardize the only source of drinking water for the population in western Tennessee. Gerardo Guzmán spoke with them and reports on their concerns from Memphis.
