Medi-Cal Cuts Put California’s Central Valley on Alert

In California’s Central Valley, there is great concern about proposed cuts to health insurance for low-income individuals, known as Medicaid at the federal level or Medi-Cal in California. According to analysts, millions of people could be left uninsured nationwide if the tax bill currently being debated in the Senate is approved. Daniela Rodríguez spoke with some of those affected in this productive agricultural region and brings us her report from Fresno, California.
