Intimidation Denounced in Frustrated Mass Deportation Plan – One month into his administration, President Trump has not met his campaign’s promise of historic mass deportations. To pick up the pace, he fired top immigration officials and began a reorganization of its operations. Advocates also say the administration unleashed a campaign of intimidation against Democratic legislators and civil society groups. José López Zamorano reports from Washington, DC.
 
How are the New Anti-Immigrant Laws Impact Florida’s Economy? – At the national level, Republican state governments are racing to pass the harshest anti-immigrant laws. In Florida, Governor Ron de Santis is leading the charge. He has just signed into state law several measures that include jailing adult immigrants who enter the state without documents and denying support to students called Dreamers from the DACA program. However, some say the measures could have major negative impacts on the state’s economy. Diana Montaño has this report from Miami. 
 
Premature Births on the Rise Among Latinas in California’s San Joaquin Valley – Premature births are continuing to increase in Fresno County, California. For several years now, experts have pointed to medical conditions, exposure to environmental pollution, and social factors as some of the reasons why more babies are being born before 40 weeks of gestation. Daniela Rodriguez has the story of a mother from the town of Huron in the San Joaquin Valley.
