Cultivating Traditions to Fight Fentanyl Use

In California’s Central Valley, reducing the use of opioids such as fentanyl remains a major challenge. Indigenous families from Oaxaca, Mexico, believe that close-knit families and cultural traditions are helping to keep many of their young people away from the deadly and addictive drug, although the risks have not disappeared.
