Florida’s lower house is about to vote on a controversial bill that authorizes work for minors. However, just days before the close of the regular session, the bill remained stalled in the Senate. Critics had questioned whether it could become law. They also warned that given the shortage of workers due to anti-immigrant policies, authorizing the employment for minors could distract them from their studies and make them vulnerable to workplace abuses. Diana Montaño reports from Miami.
