World Cup Risks in the U.S. 

Host cities and FIFA have yet to take meaningful steps to protect players, fans, and journalists from ICE operations and other dangers in the United States — as happened last year to a non-citizen family attending the World Cup finals. A representative from the human rights organization issuing the warning discusses the risks and the protection measures needed.

Children Gassed. Tear gas and pepper spray were designed to incapacitate adult combatants and protesters. Yet during federal immigration operations, more than 70 children have been left screaming, unable to breathe, or injured by these weapons. Under what circumstances were they exposed?
