Why do Few Latinos Participate in Clinical Trials?

The number of Latinos suffering from lung cancer is higher in Florida than in other states in the country, according to experts. To discover new drugs or more effective therapies, medical institutions often conduct clinical trials. However, few Latino patients sign up to participate in them. Why are Latinos distrustful of clinical trials? What are the benefits of having more Latinos participate in clinical trials? Diana Montaño reports from Miami.
