As cities urge the state to put more funds to address the epidemic of homelessness and as conservatives decry the loss of public spaces to the unhoused, a major study seeks to answer the question: “What drives California homeless crisis”? The study dispels common myths about the homeless in California. Who are the homeless in California? How affected are Latinos by this crisis? What happened to the Latino homeless paradox?
