Wave of early voting.

Midterm elections generally do not generate the same level of interest and participation among voters as presidential elections. But this time, early voting figures show that things are changing. What conclusions can we draw from the early voting numbers? Where are records being broken?

The Latino Pulse. On the eve of the election, what do Latino voters think about the country’s major issues? What drives them to vote? Will they head to the polls? A Latino organization shares insights gathered from Latino voters across the nation—especially in key battleground states like Texas, Florida, and Arizona.

Disturbing election observers. Following reports that the federal government plans to deploy hundreds of monitors to polling stations, there is growing concern regarding the presence of election observers and police officers at voting centers, as well as other anomalous situations. How might this impact civic participation, and how are these challenges being addressed? How accessible and secure will the voting process be? What steps are being taken to inform voters about their protections against illegal intimidation and to respond to incidents?
