War on Terror?

September 11, 2001, marked the deadliest terrorist attack on U.S. soil. In its aftermath, the United States launched what became known as the “war on terror.” Immigration reform was among the first issues to fall by the wayside, as anti-immigrant sentiment intensified and increasingly harsh immigration policies took hold. Analysts look back at that legacy and discuss the future of the compensation fund for those who were left without emergency assistance, including workers who participated in rescue and cleanup efforts.
