Voices of Resistance. 

June is Immigrant Heritage Month, and this year it is marked by the mass deportation policies pushed by the White House. Recently, a group of Mexican indigenous families was devastated following an ICE operation in the garment district of Los Angeles. The Zapotec families are speaking out, calling the operation an “act of kidnapping” and demanding justice. How are vulnerable migrant families protecting themselves?

If You Protest, Know Your Rights. Nationwide, hundreds of protesters have been arrested while joining demonstrations demanding an end to mass deportation policies and to the federal intimidation tactics. As military forces take to the streets and curfews are declared, more people are expected to end up in jail and face unpredictable consequences. What should they know before exercising their right to free speech and assembly?
