The Trump administration expanded the power of federal agents to quickly deport certain undocumented immigrants. In other news, a federal judge temporarily blocked President Trump’s executive order ending birthright citizenship. An immigration expert discusses these developments and comments on the Laken Riley Act, a bill that would detain and deport immigrants who may be accused but not convicted of low-level crimes and would allow states to help enforce federal immigration restrictions.
