Trump to Gut Head Start. 

The Trump administration asked Congress to eliminate the Head Start program, a move that would cut early education and child care for more than 800,000 children and their families. Some say the gutting of childcare for hundreds of thousands will have ripple effects for the entire nation. Civil rights groups are challenging those plans in court.

The REAL ID Deadline. Starting today, upgraded driver’s licenses or ID cards — to increase security standards — or another federally recognized form of identification will be required nationwide to board domestic flights and enter certain federal facilities.
