MONDAY, JUNE 12
PROGRAM #10033 12:00 PM PT

Trump Indicted. Donald Trump is expected to surrender to authorities in Miami tomorrow after being indicted for mishandling classified documents and other criminal charges. First time a former president faces federal criminal charges. What’s the latest on the charges? Who is the judge? Who is the prosecutor?

Guest: José López Zamorano, Correspondent, Washington, DC.

Supreme Court Curbs the Clean Water Act. After the US EPA stopped the Sackett family in Idaho from building a house near a popular lake, telling them that it violated the law that prohibits discharging pollutants into the “waters of the US”, the Supreme Court ruled against the lower courts that the Sackett’s wetlands were not protected by the Clean Water Act. What does the ruling mean for the nation’s wetlands and the sources of clean water supply? What does it mean for development and construction on wetlands?

Guest: Maria Luisa Rossel, Press Secretary, National Wildlife Federation, Washington, DC.

Challenges that Cities Face. Mayors of the nation met this week to discuss a number of issues facing cities, from public safety and mental health to climate resiliency. Since the risk for serious mental health illness is higher in big cities, what are big city mayors doing to reduce stress, improve care and protect mental health? How are mayors tackling the worsening homelessness crisis? What’s “functional zero” homelessness”? How are mayors planning for climate resilient cities?

Guests: Ramiro Garza Jr, Mayor, Edinburg, TX; Ulises Cabrera, Mayor, Moreno Valley, CA.
