The Colorado River: a Deal in the Making. 

The federal government is proposing that Arizona, California, and Nevada reduce their Colorado River water consumption by 20%, with additional cuts through 2036. The basin states have been negotiating for years to replace the current agreement, which expires this year, but none are satisfied with what is on the table. What does the White House plan say? Which states would be hit hardest? And what is the current state of the river? This is a special program from the series “Cuando se seca el arroyo”, with support from the Walton Family Foundation.
