Texas Flood Victims Complain of Insufficient Aid

After devastating floods in Texas last July, federal disaster aid reached some, although many still have not received help. Amid the institutional vacuum, neighbors and community organizations came to the aid of those affected. Five months after the tragedy, complaints continue about delayed and insufficient assistance and lack of information in Spanish for local Latino families. Mariana Pineda traveled to Kerr County, the area hardest hit by the floods, and prepared this report.
