Speaking in Tongues

TUESDAY, MARCH 10
PROGRAM #11073 11:00 AM PT
Speaking in Tongues.
Words as a bridge across territories, memories, and languages. Fresno Poet Laureate Aideed Medina and Mexican poet Minerva Reynosa bring to life Hablando Lenguas. This project brings together artists from Mexico and the United States to explore the power of poetry as a space for encounter. Through readings and performances, these voices travel through Fresno and other cities, creating a bicultural dialogue that connects the Central Valley with diverse Mexican communities. What stories and identities emerge when poetry crosses borders and becomes shared ground? This program is part of the series De Fresno, con amor y arte, funded in part by The Kresge Foundation and by the City of Fresno’s Measure P Expanded Access to Arts and Culture Fund, administered by the Fresno Arts Council.
Guests: Aideed Medina, Fresno Poet Laureate, Fresno, CA; Minerva Reynosa, Mexican Poet, Fresno, CA.
