Ruling in Favor of Expedited Deportations. A court authorized the Trump administration to resume the expedited deportation process, which is generally applied to those who cross the southern border. This mechanism allows for the deportation, without a court hearing, of individuals who have been in the country for less than two years. What was the basis for the ruling? Senate Demands Limits on the War. The Senate passed a resolution demanding that President Trump end the war against Iran or seek congressional authorization to continue it. Four Republicans joined Democrats in the “most bipartisan” rejection of the conflict, which is approaching its fifth month. What is the resolution about? How will it be implemented? The DEA Allowed Massive Amounts of Fentanyl to Hit NM streets. Hundreds of thousands of fentanyl pills reached the streets of New Mexico between 2023 and 2025, according to a recent report by The Associated Press, while the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) was carrying out a controversial tactic to capture major traffickers of the synthetic opioid which the White House designated a “weapon of mass destruction” last year. The news comes to light as the nation sees a 14% drop in overdose deaths compared to last year, while New Mexico recorded a 21% increase. Report by Jesús García.

An Interview With Deb Haaland. 

The Democrat made history as one of the first Native American women elected to Congress, and again as the first Native American to serve in a presidential cabinet. Now, as a candidate for governor of New Mexico, she is seeking to become the first Native American woman to govern a state. In this interview, she speaks about her plans to address high rates of childhood poverty and uninsured residents, climate change and water scarcity, and relations with tribal nations.

National Emergency in Venezuela After Two Powerful Earthquakes. The Venezuelan government declared a national state of emergency following two earthquakes, measuring 7.2 and 7.5 on the Richter scale, that shook several areas of the Caribbean nation. As of the time of this broadcast, there were a total of 188 fatalities and more than 1,500 injured, in addition to some 250 collapsed or damaged buildings and a series of smaller aftershocks, according to government data. This program features testimonies from a Venezuelan survivor and a journalist who describes the uncertainty that prevails in the affected areas.
