September 11 Special. War on Terror?
September 11, 2001, marked the deadliest terrorist attack on U.S. soil. Since then, the United States has led the so-called “War on Terror.” One of the first casualties of that war was a long-awaited immigration reform plan, which gave way instead to exacerbated anti-immigrant sentiment and harsh immigration laws. Analysts reflect on this legacy and discuss the fate of the compensation fund for those who never received emergency support, including workers who participated in rescue and cleanup efforts.
