Selena Quintanilla Beyond the Music. 

Three decades after her death, Selena continues to inspire reflection on identity, culture, language, and representation. This year, two scholars from Fresno State edited and published The Selena Reader: Remembering the Queen of Tejano, a book that brings together essays, poetry, fiction, and testimonials about her legacy. Why does she remain a cultural symbol for new generations? And how does her artistic influence reach far beyond the stage? The interviews in this program were conducted by our contributor Juan Esparza, as part of the series “From Fresno: With Love and Art,” supported by Measure P and The Kresge Foundation.
