Allegations of misconduct by César Chávez lead to the cancellation of events, raise questions. The shocking revelations that have come to light on the eve of César Chávez Day have sent shockwaves throughout California and the nation. The co-founder of the UFW, Dolores Huerta, has issued a statement after 60 years of silence detailing how Chávez sexually assaulted and raped her. In addition to her, at least two other women have courageously come forward to claim that Chávez sexually abused them when they were children. As questions arise surrounding the allegations and March 31 approaches, hundreds of communities are facing a transformed reality. How can we shed light on these painful truths? How can we celebrate the thousands upon thousands of community organizers whose struggles, all too often, go unnoticed?
Guest: Samuel Orozco, News Director, Radio Bilingüe, Fresno, CA.

Cuba in the Crosshairs. Meanwhile, hardline Cuban groups in Miami are intensifying pressure for regime change, claiming that “this time” they may succeed in toppling the government.
