Republicans Push to Pass the SAVE America Act

Under intense pressure from President Trump, Republicans in Congress have revived their plan to pass the Save America Act, now included in a special budget for military and agricultural spending. Democratic senators closed ranks to defeat the new attempt, while activists warned that, if passed, the law could exclude millions of voters—especially Black and Latino people—from the elections on November 3.
