Remembering Roberto Mondragón. 

Former lieutenant governor and renowned folklorist Roberto Mondragón passed away on January 6 at the age of 85. As a political leader, Mondragón was widely recognized for championing the causes of working families, rural communities, and communal lands. As a storyteller and musician, he stood out as a cultural ambassador for his home state of New Mexico. In this previously unheard interview, recorded at his Santa Fe home in 2019, Mondragón shares his humor and reflects on his roots and his passion for cultural traditions, as part of our “30 años, 30 voces” series.
