California voters have already begun casting their ballots in the special election, which will culminate on November 4, and will decide the fate of Proposition 50, also known as the Election Rigging Response Act. This measure, championed by California’s Democratic leaders, is presented to voters as a direct response to Texas’s new political map, which aims to maintain Republican control of Congress. How did this political battle begin? Is democracy at risk? Who supports and who opposes the referendum initiative? Both sides present their arguments.
