“One Small Thing.” 

Postpartum depression and maternal mortality are a preventable crisis — and companionship is the key. In the Central Valley, where many Latinas give birth far from their family networks and carry the weight of stigma, a campaign was born with a simple but powerful premise: “a small act of love” can break the isolation. How did this initiative come to be? What results has it achieved? And how do we build communities that truly support mothers and families through the journey of parenthood?
