“Of the People.” 

Broadcasting live from the site of the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington, DC, Línea Abierta kicks off a series of special radio and web programs in partnership with the Smithsonian Institution. In commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the US, the Smithsonian Folklife summer festival, yearly held on the National Mall, will take place at one of the Museum Buildings and “on the road” in numerous communities across the country. Festival organizers and fest goers join this first program to comment on “Of the People: The Smithsonian Festival of Festivals.”
