“30 Years, 30 Voices” Pays A Tribute to Three Decades of Línea Abierta on Air – Línea Abierta, the first and only Spanish-language news, dialogue, and commentary program on U.S. public radio, is celebrating its 30th anniversary. As part of the Radio Bilingüe community network, this project was created with the idea of connecting audiences in the United States and Mexico and opening the microphone for listeners to talk with important Latino activists, politicians, intellectuals, poets, and musicians. Today, as 2025 draws to a close, we bring you a special edition with excerpts from the series “Thirty Years, Thirty Voices.” If you are a frequent listener to Línea Abierta, we hope this summary, produced by Rubén Tapia, brings back fond memories; and if you are new to us—welcome!
