California Voters Green-Light Redistricting – Proposition 50 was approved by a large majority in California’s special election. Arizona Demands Swearing-In of First Female Federal Legislator – More than six weeks after winning a special election in Arizona to replace her late father, Adelita Grijalva still cannot take her seat in the federal Congress. Republican leader Mike Johnson argues that the government shutdown is preventing him from doing so. But Grijalva says she hasn’t been sworn in for political reasons, and some of her voters are joining her in demanding that she be sworn in. Elvia Diaz reports from Phoenix, Arizona.
