New Farm Bill

By Radio Bilingüe
Published March 24, 2026

TUESDAY, MARCH 24
PROGRAM #11087 11:00 AM PT

New Farm Bill.

The Agriculture, Food, and National Security Act of 2026 is headed to the House floor for a vote. Farmers and ranchers are closely watching the proposal, hoping it will end the uncertainty they have faced since the previous Farm Bill expired three years ago. According to its supporters, the plan reauthorizes key agricultural and nutrition programs, strengthens risk management tools, and expands conservation initiatives. Critics, however, question whether it will meaningfully reduce hunger or protect the environment. This is a special program from the series Cuando se seca el arroyo, funded in part by the Walton Family Foundation.

Guests: Rudy Arredondo, Founder/Director Latino Farmers and Ranchers International, Inc. Germantown, MD; Joe L. Del Bosque, Farmer, Del Bosque Farms, Firebaugh, CA.
