Following the devastating fires in Los Angeles, this year’s dry season is expected to bring even worse fires to California and the western states. Unprecedented heat waves are creating conditions that can ignite vegetation. A climate emergency mobilization expert explains Los Angeles’s plans to build resilience, create effective early warning systems, and coordinate emergency responses, particularly in the most vulnerable communities, such as immigrant populations.
