Millions of citizens could be excluded from voting starting with the November 3rd midterm elections if the “Save America Act” is passed and signed into law. The measure has already been approved by the House of Representatives and is now a topic of hot debate in the Senate. Although the bill’s passage is uncertain, civil society organizations have stepped up their efforts to encourage Latino civic participation. José Lopez Zamorano reports from Washington, D.C.
