Mexico: The Global Flotilla Sumud Intercepted, five Mexican nationals Detained

The Israeli military intercepted all vessels of the Global Flotilla Sumud and detained more than 400 crew members, including five Mexican nationals. Videos show the activists bound, blindfolded, and humiliated by uniformed Israeli guards under the direction of Israel’s security minister. The activists had been sailing toward Gaza in an effort to break the humanitarian blockade and protest acts of genocide. Analysts weigh in on this story and on Trump’s new executive order seeking to restrict undocumented immigrants’ access to the U.S. financial system — including remittance services.
