Mexico Seeks Gaza Activists’ Safe Return

The Mexican delegation of the Global Sumud Flotilla is back in the country after the Mexican government issued diplomatic notes to Israel demanding guarantees for the safety and repatriation of Mexican activists and journalists detained. After their detention off the coast of Gaza, the six activists were repatriated by Israel, but not before spending four days in a maximum security prison. What did they ask for during their detention, and what kind of recognition are they asking for from the Mexican government? The program also features a report on the International Radio Biennial, hosted by Radio Educación, an international gathering of radio producers that promotes collaborative projects and reimagining the art and practice of radio, and another on the contest “Mexico Sings for Peace and Against Addiction.”
