Mexicans living abroad have complained for years about the slow and bureaucratic procedures at the Mexican consulates. A new issue is the illegal sale of consular appointments. Some emigres are asking for greater legal or social support in cases of immigration detention. What is the Mexican government doing to improve its consular services?
