Mexico: Mexican Congress is moving forward with electoral reform

Now that the Mexican Congress is preparing to move forward with electoral reform, Mexican emigres and activists in the United States are urging lawmakers to guarantee their representation in the national Congress and to create a more accessible voting system. A migrant political leader is proposing to replace the current model of “proportional representation” with “national citizen representation.” These and other developments are discussed in this week’s edition.
