Mexico Demands Explanations from the U.S. Regarding the Capture and Transfer of “El Mayo” Zambada

Nearly two years after Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada was transferred to the United States, the case is once again straining relations with Mexico. Claudia Sheinbaum’s administration maintains that the then-U.S. ambassador to Mexico, Ken Salazar, lied about the operation that led to the alleged leader of the Sinaloa Cartel being transferred to the United States.
