Mexico: African Descent community in Mexico

Mexico Edition. 

The UN Working Group of Experts on People of African Descent is visiting Mexico to examine reports of racism, discrimination, and Afrophobia faced by the millions of residents who make up this community. The group will study the criminal justice system and the exercise of economic, social, and cultural rights. It will meet with government authorities, civil society organizations, and community members before presenting its findings. What do they expect to document? And what demands are Afro-Mexican communities bringing to the table?
