Mexico, a Haven for Immigrants Fleeing Persecution in the United States

Faced with the Trump administration’s increasing harassment of immigrants, thousands of people who planned to come to the United States are choosing to stay in Mexico. Some are doing so temporarily. Meanwhile, others insist on continuing their journey despite the risks and the possibility of great hardship. Although those who stay in Mexico expect to earn less, they are opting for stability, according to Citlali Sáenz reporting from Mexico City.
