These challenges range from worsening water pollution and rising diesel prices to hurricane-driven destruction. Mariana Pineda visited the area, spoke with Latino fishermen, experts, and officials, and reports on the challenges of maintaining sustainable fishing.

Youth Speak Out to Prevent Overdose Deaths in Schools in Fresno, California – Although overdose deaths from fentanyl and other opioids have decreased thanks to greater access to antidotes, the dangers remain. That’s why a group of students launched an intensive educational campaign on the benefits of Narcan, also known as the “life-saving spray,” which is used in emergencies.
