First 100 Days of Trump Administration Marked by Controversial Policies – President Trump celebrated the first 100 days of his second term in office with a rally in the politically divided state of Michigan. The Republican president boasted of a dramatic drop in border crossings due to his deportation measures and operations. Trump also said that better times are ahead. However, recent polls show his popularity plummeting and protests continue to grow. José López Zamorano has details from Washington.

Colorado Poised to Extend Protections for Immigrants – Colorado’s House of Representatives will soon debate a bill to extend legal protections to immigrants living in the state amid growing threats of mass deportations by the federal government. A similar proposal has already passed the Colorado Senate. Jesús Sánchez Melean brings us more information from Denver.

Education Campaign Seeks to Reduce Hate Crimes in LA – Faced with the growing number of hate crimes and racist incidents in Los Angeles County, the Human Relations Commission has launched an educational campaign focused on prevention. Posters and yard signs placed at homes and businesses in areas considered “hot spots” are urging a rejection of hate and discrimination, which some say has increased due to the federal government’s divisive narrative. Alejandro Maciel reports from Los Angeles.
