As part of our anniversary series, “Thirty Years, Thirty Voices,” we honor the legacy of maestro Cipriano Vigil, who recently passed away. Having dedicated his life to reviving and celebrating the ancestral cultural traditions of the Indo-Hispano communities of New Mexico, Vigil was officially recognized in his home state as a “Living Treasure” and a cultural hero to generations of musicians. This special tribute features an exclusive interview with the maestro and selections from his extensive songbook.
