Millions of people recently took to the streets across all 50 states to protest the Trump administration’s aggressive measures against immigrants, the impacts of the war against Iran, and other policies. As part of this wave of national outrage, activists, union leaders, and religious leaders are calling for a general strike on May 1, International Workers’ Day, with no shopping, no school, and street demonstrations. Rubén Tapia spoke with organizers and affected individuals and brings us this summary from Los Angeles.
