Latinos went to the polls and they say why
Election day was very intense and Latino voters have shown their power like never before, an active day across the country, Latinos went to the polls to participate in this historic election.
According to the Pew Research Center, there would be about 36 million Latino voters in this election.
Here are some of the voices of Latino voters who answered the call to vote in this presidential election.
Francisco is a resident of Madera, Ca. He went to vote for the first time and one of the reasons that motivated him was the economy.
Lourdes, also from Madera, said that this is the second time she has participated in the elections and she did it to improve the community.
Elsa Garcia, says that it was easy for her to vote because she registered early.
Roberto, who resides in California, agrees that the process was easy.
Melissa Santos, who went to the polls for her first time voting, says it was very exciting to know that she was able to participate in this historic moment.
In Arizona, Jessica Sanchez, 19, went to the polls a little nervous because she is the first in her family to vote, Jessica believes she can make a difference and comments on why she went to the polls.
Haydee in LA, comments that we are ready for a woman to govern.
Analysts estimate that there are more than 36 million Latino voters and we are the largest minority in the United States.
