Fearing possible arrest or deportation, families in California worry that one day their children will return home to find an empty house, which is why it is important to start preparing for such an emergency.

Brenda Aguilera, Director of Community Transformation at the organization Para los Niños, says it is necessary to develop a plan and have a support network in place.
