Radio Indígena, a Bridge of Trust for Farmworkers – In the agricultural heartland of Oxnard, on the California coast, an Indigenous-language radio station has become more than just a broadcaster. During the massive immigration raid last July, it became a source of vital information for thousands of workers and their families who communicate in native languages from southern Mexico. Yaqui Healer Opens First Clinic of Ancestral Medicine – Traditional healer María Francisca Rosario Matuz, better known as Doña Panchita, treats her patients at a newly inaugurated public hospital in Vícam Switch, a Yaqui town in the northern Mexican state of Sonora.
