Intense Activism Around International Migrants Day

As part of International Migrants Day, thousands of people staged a day of mobilizations and lobbying in Washington and around the country in response to President-elect Donald Trump’s promise of mass deportations. Although his team says he will focus on immigrants with deportation orders, organizations and activists have raised doubts. While highlighting the contributions of immigrants to the country’s economy, many are also preparing for mobilization and legal defense. José López Zamorano has the details from Washington, D.C.
